Itsa Goal posts Limited manufacture one of the largest ranges of aluminium goals in the U.K.
Aluminium Goals Safety
Current football goal safety must follow BSEN 748:2013+A1:2018 and BS EN 16579:2018.
The existing BSEN 748:2013+A1:2018 is for 24’x8′ full size senior goals and 5m x 2m European youth goalposts. The BS EN 16579:2018 is for all football goalposts – for example, youth 21’x7′ goalposts, 16’x7′ goals posts for 9v9 youth games, 12’x6′ mini soccer goals.
Folding Aluminium Goals
The Itsa Goal Post lockable folding goalpost is a patented product. The aluminium football goal and goalpost transporter are also registered designs. 5000197 5000198 5000199.
These goals were designed to solve a problem seen at many grass roots football clubs around the country. Before the folding transporter goal was available most folding aluminium goals were lifted out by volunteers from the goalpost storage facility onto the football pitches. This may have included a long walk across muddy undulating football pitches. The nature of a folding goal is that the goal side frames swing inwards and the corners have unnecessary stress where the crossbar meets the uprights. This is a potential for wear and tear and possible damage particularly if the goals are carried unevenly and the sides are splayed apart.
In contrast to this the Itsa Goal branded folding goal post, as shown below, has removable goalpost transporters fixed in the upright posts. The weight of the whole of the goal frame is transferred vertically onto the transporter and reduces any stress on the goal. Now with the goal transporters fitted it is made easy for the club volunteers to move the goals into position, the goals will roll without any stress caused on the goalposts corners. Once the goals are in position the side frames can be folded out (locked) and goals quickly anchored on grass using the multi surface anchors included with the goalposts as standard.

Movable Aluminium Goals
Other makes of aluminium freestanding goals are manufactured with 45 degree mitred corners, the corners bolt together with internal steel fixings. These types of goals have an inherent tendency to expand apart during the warm summer months, the crossbar expanding more than the shorter uprights. This expansion may loosen bolts and create unstable goalpost corners and if the corner bolts are not regularly re tightened the goals may be damaged particularly when moved.
This problem was resolved by our company Itsa Goal Posts Limited- Itsa Goal branded goals have fully welded goal corners, in fact the whole goalpost side frames. The sides quickly slot into crossbar and back bar and lock in position. No mitred corners at all. The expansion problems seen on other mitred corners don’t effect the Itsa Goal branded goalposts.

Movable Aluminium Goals – Roller goals with integral weights – for artificial surfaces
We also manufacture movable aluminium freestanding goals that include roller wheeled back bars as the photograph demonstrates below. This type of goal is used mainly on artificial surfaces and as such require counter balancing. The goals are available with this heavy counter balance weight built into the goal ground frame. These types of goals are manufactured with additional strengthening supports and this makes the goals more expensive than unweighted goals. The Itsa Goal Post branded roller goal has a unique wheeled backbar at the rear of the goal which keeps the wheels away from the play area during a game – a safer alternative to goal posts with wheels on the side of goals.

Movable Aluminium Goals – Roller goals without integral weights – more suited for grass pitches
The same type of roller goal as shown above is available without the heavy in built counter balancing weight. This is similar to a standard freestanding goal however, it includes the wheeled back bar and when the goal is in position it requires anchoring down with the multi-surface anchors provided. All freestanding goals should be anchored or counter balanced to meet goalposts safety standards. The standard freestanding goals do not have the wheeled back bar but you can fit the optional wheel transporters if required to wheel goals out in position, the same as shown above on the folding goal.
Whether you require a goal to be wheeled into position and into a store after games or you have a safe secure ground will determine if you require goals with wheels, roller goals for artificial surfaces or just the standard goals without wheels.
